“stood out for its intelligence, its formal ingenuity, and its restrained elegance.”
“There's a fine combination of coolly restrained classicism and hints of impassioned anguish.”
“"surreal and captivating"”
“The balance that Lang strikes between lyricism and gravity is as satisfying as it is true to its source.”
- Luke Jennings, The Guardian, June 26, 2016
“an intelligent work, tugged by longing and regret.”
“fresh, contemporary and traditional all at the same time.”
“controlled, human, open hearted, quietly exuberant and immaculately executed.”
- Bruce Marriott, DanceTabs, May 16, 2016
