A Time of Beauty, 2024

Created in connection with Jessica Lang’s ballet A Time of Beauty for Sarasota Ballet, this painting is part of Lang’s ongoing practice of creating an original artwork for each of her ballets.

 

Soft layers of pink, blue-green, cream, and gray overlap across the canvas, with visible brushstrokes and areas of thicker paint giving the surface a tactile quality. The gentle palette and layered composition reflect the quiet beauty and delicacy of the work.
