Created in connection with Jessica Lang’s ballet Carousel Waltz for the Vienna State Ballet’s Opernball, this painting is part of Lang’s ongoing practice of creating an original artwork for each of her ballets.

 

The painting brings together vivid yellow, blue, white, and gray in a layered composition of bold contrasts and overlapping gestures, reflecting the vibrant visual world of the ballet.
